Zach: Arts and crafts?
Yes, please!
Let's Get Artsy.
Hello.
My name is Siobhan.
And I work at the Education Department here at the New Victory Theater.
And some of my favorite hobbies revolve around visual arts and crafting.
When I create art, I get to express myself and really flex those imagination muscles.
And today I get to teach you how to make art out of air.
The visual arts are art forms like painting, drawing, sculpting, film, photography, and even architecture, some things that artists use to create visual impact.
Surrealist art is pure imagination and creative expression.
It draws connections between things that may seem illogical or outside of the rules of reality.
Let's create some art inspired by surrealism.
All you'll need is... a sheet of paper, some watercolors, a cup of water, a paintbrush, a straw, a marker, and your breath.
To begin, place your paper on a flat surface.
Then grab your watercolors, your water, and your paintbrush.
Take your paintbrush and dip it into the water.
Make sure you get a lot of water on that paintbrush.
And then you're gonna pick your first color and dip it in.
I'm gonna pick blue.
Plop your watercolor right onto your paper and do not rub it in.
I like to make light strokes and circle shapes.
You want to make sure the paint stays shiny and wet.
Work fast.
Now it's your straw's turn.
Blow on the portion of your paper when you dropped your color.
It's good to take one deep breath in and then blow.

Welcome back, campers.
Good times so far?
Well, it's about to get even more magical.
As we all know, unicorns can be difficult to find and even harder to hold onto.
So I've got the next best stretchy, fluffy, squishy thing.
It's time for unicorn slime.
Now, keep in mind, making unicorn slime is not an exact science.
You may want to add a little more of this or a little less of that.
But this is a good place to start.
You will need 1/2 cup shampoo that the adult in your life says is okay to use.
The thicker, the better.
1/4 cup cornstarch.
Now, I don't have 1/4 cup, but I do have a tablespoon.
Did you know that 4 tablespoons equals 1/4 cup?
Now you do.
Some food coloring.
Preferably pastel colors.
6 tablespoons of water.
And if you're feeling extra shimmery, feel free to add a dash of glitter, too.
Because...glitter.
Am I right?
Let's do this.
With the help of an adult, pour the shampoo, plus cornstarch, into a bowl and mix it up.
Next, add just a couple drops of food coloring and mix it in.
And if you're putting in sparkles, put those in now, too.
Now it's time to really work those arm muscles.
Start by adding a tablespoon of water and mix it in well.
Then another tablespoon.
And mix.
Then a third and mix.
Then a fourth tablespoon and mix.
This looks a little soupy to me, so I'm going to add a little more cornstarch.
♪♪ Okay.
This looks good to me.
So I'm going to skip the last 2 tablespoons of water.
If your slime feels too sticky, you can always add some more cornstarch.
You can repeat this recipe a few times to make a variety of colors... or make sure to split one batch up before mixing in the food coloring.
Now layer them together, smoosh them up... and there you have it.
Your very own unicorn slime.
After you've mushed it to your heart's content, wash your hands and store it in an airtight container.
Oh, and one very important thing -- although it might look good enough to eat, don't.
This is not food.
It's slime.
So please don't feed it to your unicorn, either.
Thank you.

♪♪ Hi!
Welcome to "Cooking with Courtney."
I'm Kourtney.
And today we're going to be making one of my absolute favorite summertime treats -- smoothie popsicles.
Let's get cookin'.
Be sure to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds before and after handling food.
We're going to start by adding 1 cup of yogurt.
♪♪ Now it's time to add the strawberries.
I'm using 12 small strawberries, but you can use 6 big ones, too.
We'll add them in 2 at a time.
2, 4... 6, 8... 10, and 12.
Mm-hmm?
Oh.
Sorry.
I was on a conference call.
But now we're going to add half a banana.
♪♪ It's almost time to start blending.
But before we do, make sure that your lid is on nice and tight.
Otherwise, the smoothie will go everywhere, and that's not fun.
Trust me.
One of the really cool things about a strawberry banana smoothie is that it makes a great base to add your own favorite flavors.
You can customize your popsicle by adding in your favorite fruits like pineapple, mangoes, or apples.
Personally, I love to add in blueberries.
Now let's get blending.
When using a blender, make sure to ask a trusted adult for help.
Always start with the blender on the lowest setting then slowly turn it up to the highest.
This way, your smoothie won't go flying all over the place.
Now that we're all done blending, let's talk about popsicle molds.
If you don't already have a reusable popsicle mold, food-safe plastic containers, paper cups, or even old applesauce containers work just as well.
Carefully fill the molds to the top with your smoothie.
This next step can be a little bit tricky, so always feel free to ask for help.
But we're going to take a little bit of plastic wrap and cover our popsicle molds.
That way, when we put our popsicle sticks in, they'll stay in place.
Now that I've covered the top with plastic wrap, I'm going to grab the ends and twist them together so, that way, the top is nice and tight, just like that.
Ask a trusted adult to help you to use kitchen shears to poke holes in the center of the plastic wrap.
This will help to hold your popsicle stick up.
Make sure not to cut them too big, though.
Otherwise, the popsicle stick might fall.
Now we're going to add our popsicle sticks to the holes we just made.
One... two... and three.
Perfect.
Now, these are off to the freezer for the next couple of hours.
I usually just leave them in overnight to be sure.
It's about six hours later, and our popsicles are frozen.
And they look delicious.
Now let's get them out of their molds.
If your popsicles are in paper molds, you can just tear the paper off.
For plastic molds, run them under warm water for a few seconds, then they should just pop right off.
I'll save these for later.
But now it's time to enjoy.
Mmm!
Delicious.
And that's how easy it is to make a smoothie popsicle.
Remember, out of respect for others, always leave the kitchen cleaner than you found it.
I'll see you next time.
Stay kind and keep on cookin'.

High up on the cliff, he spotted a mysterious sparkling creature.

He missed them terribly, so he said goodbye to the unicorns and returned to the ocean.
Kelp swam toward home as fast as he could, which wasn't very fast at all, hoping that the narwhals would still like him now that he was a unicorn.
When he finally arrived, Kelp had butterflies in his stomach.
